Heather Haugse

Ed.S., NCSP

Heather Haugse, Ed.S., NCSP, is a Florida Licensed School Psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist. She provides comprehensive psychological, neurodevelopmental, and neuropsychological evaluations, including helpful recommendations for home and school settings. She also offers individual and small-group social skill-building for children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 5-20 years), including collaboration with their family. Heather works therapeutically with clients to recognize and use effective cognitive behavioral strategies in their identified areas of need (e.g., anxiety, depression, maladaptive behavior).

Heather graduated from Minot State University with an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology. She has worked in North Dakota, northern Minnesota, and most recently in Lee County, Florida, serving students receiving MTSS interventions and conducting psychoeducational evaluations for students suspected of having Specific Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Other Health Impairments such as ADHD, and Emotional or Behavioral Disorders. Heather has also evaluated students for giftedness using tests of intellectual abilities.
Heather specializes in assessing individual cognitive processing abilities and executive functioning skills and relating how identified weaknesses may be strategically accommodated using targeted supports and strategies. The client’s strengths are utilized to complement areas of weakness within recommendations.
